Under this year's omnibus bill, "the Minister of Labour will now have the legal right to dismiss any safety complaint that results in a worker refusing to work and to do so without any investigation".
According to the article, no employer has ever called for these changes or even raised them for discussion, but the ministry believes the changes will streamline the workplace safety system.
