Here's a public service message from Rachel Maddow on some of the vote suppression schemes that have been going on in the US this time around.

Voter suppression hasn't been that big a problem in Canada. Well except for possibly Lunn's Saanich-Gulf Islands riding here.

In Canada creating voter apathy seems to be the best way to stay in power. Our actual elections might not be that long, but by running ads attacking your opposition, for two years prior to the election call seems to working for the ruling party. At least the last time out.
